CCL CONSTRUCTION CONSULTANTS, INC. has been providing construction consulting services to architects, engineers, contractors, owners, and financial services since 1986 on over 1400 projects through out the United States. CCL’s services include: evaluation and measurement of construction claims/delays/damages, expert testimony, project scheduling (CPM), and mediation / arbitration services. CCL’s staff includes engineers, project managers, construction schedulers, estimators, and attorneys.
Michael T. Callahan is founder and President of CCL Construction Consultants, Inc. Mr. Callahan earned a B.A. from the University of Kansas, a J.D. law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, School of Law, and a L.L.M. masters in law from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and Temple University.
Mr. Callahan is experienced in expert witness testimony and the analysis of construction claims and project schedules. He has authored several books on the subject of construction claims and construction schedules including: Discovery in Construction Litigation (Lexis, 3rd ed.1994); Deskbook of Construction Contract Law With Forms (Prentice Hall, 1981); Construction Delay Claims (Aspen Law Publications, 3rd ed. 2000); and Construction Schedules (Lexis, 2nd ed. 1998). In addition, Mr. Callahan has authored other books for the construction industry such as: Termination of Construction and Design Contracts (Aspen Publishers 2009); Procurement of Construction and Design Contracts (Aspen Publishers, 2005); Construction Change Order Claims (Aspen Publishers, 2005); Construction Delay Claims (Aspen Publishers, 2010), and Discovery In Construction Litigation (Lexis, 2003).
Mr. Callahan has lectured extensively in the United States and overseas on construction scheduling, productivity, and claims topics. He was an adjunct professor at the University of Kansas where he taught CPM scheduling, contract and claims administration courses in the Architectural Engineering School and also taught at Iowa State University. Mr. Callahan is an associate of the “Chartered Institute of Arbitrators”, a member of the “American Arbitration Association”, and member of the American Bar Association. Mr. Callahan is a contributing editor for the monthly journal “Construction Law Digest”.
